What’s more exciting than watching a patriotic fireworks display against the background of a blue ocean? Not much, we’d say! That’s just one reason why you should consider spending your Fourth of July on Florida’s Historic Coast. Planning a beach vacation has never been easier. This handy mini-planner has event suggestions that might help you kick off a vacay in a big way!
World Golf Village Fireworks
As if we needed another excuse to visit World Golf Village and the World Golf Hall of Fame, here’s another one! This beautiful, scenic locale will again host a community-wide fireworks display – one of the largest in Northeast Florida. Bring a blanket and watch the red, white and blue splash across the sky. World Golf Village is also offering neat packages that include a delicious dinner and a movie under the stars prior to the fireworks.
Dinner is served by Fairways Café and the scheduled film is Terminator Genisys. The World Golf Hall of Fame is located at One World Golf Place, St. Augustine, Florida. Call 904-940-4123 for more information.
Fireworks over the Matanzas
This display features fireworks exploding above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and mirrored in the glistening waters of Matanzas Bay. Listen to the pleasant strains of the All Orchestra and hunker down to enjoy Fireworks over the Matanzas. This choreographed display is 20 minutes of beautiful fireworks set to a patriotic and stirring soundtrack. We are not kidding when we say this is the “biggest show in town” – you can expect to view more than 5000 shells! The display address is 1 South Castillo Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32084. There is a small fee for parking, but it is worth the trip! It all begins at 9:30 p.m.
